{"id":182199,"date":"2025-08-12T18:04:05","date_gmt":"2025-08-12T18:04:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/capitalsq.com\/?post_type=expertise&#038;p=182199"},"modified":"2025-08-12T18:04:08","modified_gmt":"2025-08-12T18:04:08","slug":"building-futures-through-lemonaid-2025","status":"publish","type":"expertise","link":"https:\/\/capitalsq.com\/expertise\/building-futures-through-lemonaid-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Building Futures through LemonAid 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">Capital Square\u2019s dedicated philanthropic partnership with The Children\u2019s Hospital of Richmond at VCU has a long legacy through our team\u2019s efforts at <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalsq.com\/expertise\/chor-partnership-2024\/\">radiothons, parades<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalsq.com\/expertise\/caring-for-the-childrens-hospital-of-richmond\/\">toy drives<\/a>, as well as through various extra occasions we\u2019ve celebrated <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalsq.com\/expertise\/building-the-future-of-absolutely-incredibly-kids\/\">the absolutely incredible kids<\/a> at the hospital. Still, one of our favorite efforts every year is our participation in LemonAid, a Children\u2019s Hospital of Richmond fundraiser \u201cputting the squeeze on childhood cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">In 2024, Capital Square partnered with Capital Square Living, combining talent and resources across all divisions of our real estate firm to create a significant impact, allowing for a meaningful difference for the Children\u2019s Hospital. That effort led to LemonAid stands across 21 multifamily communities in Virginia, as well as our corporate headquarters in Richmond. <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalsq.com\/expertise\/lemonaid-2024\/\">One lemonade cup at a time, we raised over $6,000 for the children.<\/a><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">All the same, this year, we wanted to go even bigger.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">In 2025, we gathered notes from the previous year to take our efforts to an even more impactful place. Again, Capital Square and Capital Square Living worked together to hold LemonAid stands across our portfolio of multifamily communities, but this year, we didn\u2019t stop at Virginia. The award-winning and incredibly high caliber Children\u2019s Hospital of Virginia serves patients from across the country and across the world. Thus, we recognized our LemonAid stands to support our firm\u2019s hometown hospital should stretch beyond one state\u2019s borders.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">This year, approximately 30 Capital Square Living-managed communities from across the Southeast participated in our LemonAid events. Hitting the Children\u2019s Hospital of Richmond\u2019s scoreboard as the \u201cTop Fundraiser\u201d and for \u201cMost Donors\u201d within a single effort was an accomplishment; however, surpassing last year\u2019s total to raise over $7,000 for the Children\u2019s Hospital\u2019s unstoppable kids was our biggest point of pride.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"appear-on-scroll\">We\u2019ve raised the bar,
